Wisconsin Lemon Law
Wisconsin’s lemon
law applies to vehicles that have been repaired four or more times for
the same problem, or that have been “out of service” for repairs
more than 30 cumulative days. The four repairs or 30 days out of
service must occur within the first year of ownership. The vehicle
does not need to be in the shop to be considered “out of service”
under Wisconsin’s lemon law. The vehicle may be considered “out of
service” during the time periods it is in a consumer’s possession
but is not operating as was warranted. In order to receive a refund
of a vehicle’s purchase price, the vehicle problems must be
substantial in nature.
